Giertsen is looking for reliable, talented, hard-working individuals to work with our Project Coordinator in the full spectrum of restoration work.  Your skill set will evolve to complete tasks in carpentry, framing, finish work, installation, tiling, and with various punch-list items to move projects to a completion stage.  This is a critical role within our company.  We are looking for good people with great attitudes to fill these openings.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform construction-related and carpentry work.
  • Be knowledgeable on building products, systems, and components.
  • An attitude towards Safety is a priority.
  • Adhering to and practicing general OSHA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with Production Management and Customers.
  • Maintain & obtain additional IICRC certifications, if requested by management.
  • Follow & enforce established safety practices including proper use of PPE, when necessary.
  • Perform mitigation services when necessary.
  • Be on-call on a monthly rotational basis.
  • Other activities as requested by project managers or estimating staff.
  • Provide excellent Customer service.
  • Maintain efficiency of production.
  • Review of job folders.
  • Perform work according to company policies & procedures.
  • Work will be performed in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work will be performed in accordance with safety regulations relating to the type of work.
  • Communication with customers will be professional, positive, and courteous.
  • Exhibit a professional manner when representing the company.
  • Company vehicles, equipment and dress will be kept clean.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Higher

Experience

1 year or more in related position

Physical Demands

  • Lift (constantly) 5-40 lbs., lift (frequently) 20-60 lbs..
  • Will involve frequent stand/walk/ push/pull.
  • Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud being occasional to frequent.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License.  Checked quarterly.
  • Water, Fire & Smoke and Applied Structural Drying IICRC Certifications are preferred.  Training will be provided.

Shift Requirements

7-3:30 PM.  Between 40-45 hours per week, as necessary.  Reliability is critical for success!
