A water main break caused significant flooding that led to the cancellation of classes. Giertsen Company of Illinois, was called in to assist in the recovery efforts, working around the clock to ensure the school could reopen as quickly as possible.
Giertsen’s team was integral in restoring the impacted areas, safely draining standing water and removing damaged materials such as ceiling tiles, carpet, baseboards, drywall, technology, and instructional materials that couldn’t be salvaged. Industrial fans and dehumidifiers were deployed throughout the weekend to dry out the affected spaces.
Giertsen’s 24/7/365 emergency restoration services played a critical role in the swift recovery of the school, ensuring that students and staff could return without further delay. The district has confirmed that there will be no need for make-up days due to the closure.
