Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate commercial and residential projects from start to finish.
  • Generate daily work orders, communicate, and schedule work for your Team.
  • Generate and provide accurate project schedules to customers and assigned subcontractors.
  • Maintain frequent communication with customers, subcontractors, and estimator.
  • Coordinate, assist and order material selections with the customer.
  • Determine and generate material take offs and facilitate the purchase of materials.
  • Approve & submit subcontractor invoices for payment to A/P Clerk.
  • Secure necessary permits.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean job site.
  • Coordinate inspection of the property with building inspectors.
  • Obtain and submit Certificate of Completion.
  • Communicate with estimator weekly to provide status on all projects.
  • Develop and work within job budgets.
  • Encourage that OSHA guidelines for employees and subcontractors are followed.

Education Requirements

Associates Degree in Construction Management or equivalent related experience

Physical Demands

  • Lift (frequently) 5-40 lbs., lift (infrequently) 25 -50 lbs..
  • Will involve frequent stand/walk/ push/pull.
  • Occasional climbing (ladders, etc.), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud being occasional to frequent.

Licenses & Certifications

Will attain as needed.

Dwelling Contractor

OSHA 10HR recommended

Lead Safe Renovator

  • Valid Driver’s license.  Checked quarterly.
  • Water, Fire & Smoke and Applied Structural Drying IICRC Certifications are preferred.  Training will be provided.

Work Requirements

  • 7:00am – 4:30PM on the job and/or available by phone
  • Work weekends if a job demands it.
  • Be on-call on a monthly rotational basis
  • Knowledge of construction.
  • Organizational & multi-tasking skills.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Computer literate.
  • Locate, identify, vet and manage subcontractors.
  • Review jobs on a weekly basis with the estimator.
  • Establish a budget target.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customer with a project job schedule.
  • 3 to 4 yrs. work experience in construction project management is required.

Shift Requirements

7-3:30 PM.  Between 40-45 hours per week, as necessary.
